The surrounding context consists primarily of industrial buildings of a similar scale, form, and function, contributing to a cohesive industrial character within the area. In addition, nearby residential communities are located at an appropriate distance, allowing for compatible land use while reinforcing the importance of thoughtful site planning, servicing, and drainage design to minimize potential impacts.

Matter Architectural Studio has retained Prototeck Engineering Associates Inc. to provide comprehensive civil engineering services in support of the proposed addition to the existing industrial building. The scope of services includes detailed site grading and drainage design to ensure positive surface drainage and effective stormwater management, as well as site servicing design to accommodate both current operational demands and the anticipated requirements of the building addition. These works have been carefully coordinated with the architectural design and applicable municipal standards to ensure compliance with local regulations and best engineering practices.
As the project design approaches completion, all civil engineering elements are being finalized in preparation for construction. Subject to approvals, construction of the proposed addition is anticipated to commence in early 2026. The proposed works are intended to enhance the functionality of the existing facility while maintaining compatibility with the surrounding industrial and residential context.
