CLIENT

LOCATION
London, ON

The London InterCommunity Health Centre provides healthcare services to clients in a specialized facility, strategically located in the urban core of London. As a healthcare facility it falls woefully short in terms of meeting regulatory standards. The building at 657/659 Dundas St. fills the entire site. On the front, there is a small, enclosed concrete pad that meets the public sidewalk. The west side of the building is connected to an adjacent building. The side elevations on the building abut tightly to the building to the east.

Prototeck Engineering Associates Inc. (Prototeck) were part of architects Tillmann Ruth Robinson’s team retained to conduct a detailed condition assessment of the existing facility. Prototeck were responsible for conducting the review of the building envelope, structural, and civil components. A detailed report was prepared and provided to the Ministry of Health as part of a funding application to upgrade the facility.
